TETRA / TETRAPOL Repeaters (BDA - Bi-Directional Amplifiers) of SELECOM are used :
-
To extend the coverage of private radio networks PMR (Private Mobile Radio), DMR (Digital Mobile Radio), LMR (Land Mobile Radio), PAMR (Public-Access Mobile Radio) at TETRA (TErrestrial Trunked RAdio) standard ;
-
To comply with the obligation to cover national networks of public safety :ACROPOL in France, TETRON in Austria, ASTRID in Belgium, POLYCOM in Switzerland, BDBOS in Germany, VIRVE in Finland, RAKEL in Sweden, NØDNETT in Norway, ESTER in Estonia, SIRESP in Portugal at TETRAPOL standard ;
|
SELECOM offers complete and integrated solutions for TETRA network operators and operators of ERP (Establishment Receiving the Public), to ensure coverage of major infrastructures like shopping centers, exhibition halls, convention centers, areas confined such as service corridors, tunnels, underground car parks :
-
TETRA / TETRAPOL repeaters medium and high power
-
TETRA / TETRAPOL repeaters multi-antenna for areas complex to cover

TetraReP: Band selective repeater
With its new design, the repeater TetraReP RF/RF has an option "Digital Smart Filter" configurable from 300 KHz to 5 MHz
Thanks to this feature, the repeater can therefore eliminate carriers not wished when several TETRA/TETRAPOL networks coexist in the same localisation.

DigiSeL: Digital channel selective repeater
Thanks to its channel selectivity, the DigiSeL allows to handle up to 18 configurable channels (bandwidth 12.5 KHz) independently in frequency and in power.
The DigiSeL RF/RF proposes two types of filters according to the customer need:
-
Fixes Filters (DL): channels and bandwidth configured factory and modifiable on user request
-
Dynamics Filters (DL): channels and bandwidth configurable on-site and remote user
Therefore, the DigiSeL separates the desired signal from the other interfering signals in a ultra precise way.

"Uplink Squelch" function
In order to deploy maximum repeaters RF / RF in a given area, connected to the same base station, it is necessary to have a function that cuts off transmission of the uplink channel when the repeater is not applied a communication.
Indeed, a RF / RF repeater, even if it does not retransmit carrier, returns a background thermal noise, very low. But the sum of all those little noises generates power noise which can desensitize the base station, which would limit the use of RF / RF repeaters.
The principle is extremely simple:
-
No communication is requested by a mobile in the area covered by the repeater ⇒ The UL channel is paused ⇒ No noise is emitted by the repeater
A communication is requested by a mobile in the area covered by the repeater ⇒ The UL channel is operated within milliseconds ⇒ The communication is provided
-
After a certain time, the repeater is no longer sought ⇒ UL channel is re-paused ⇒ No noise is emitted by the repeater
